Abstract

A fastening device is described for footwear provided with a first and second flap to be closed, comprising: - a first flexible member extending between a first and second point on the footwear, - a second flexible member extending between a third and fourth point on the footwear so as to close the flaps against each other when pulled, wherein the first flexible member is connected to the second flexible member to pull it and thus close said flaps against each other, the third point is anchored to one of the flaps, and the fourth point is coupled to a portion of the first flexible member which is located between the first and second points and at which portion the first flexible member has a change of direction; - means for tensioning the first flexible member so as to rectify/straighten said portion and consequently pull the second flexible member so as to close the flaps.
