Abstract

The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for dynamic geometry adaption during rotation of an X-ray image. The method comprises receiving a first X-ray image comprising a region of interest of a subject, receiving a plurality of second X-ray images of the subject, an imaging region of the plurality of second X-ray images being adjacent to and surrounding the region of interest of the subject, stitching the plurality of second X-ray images together, thereby generating a stitched image, and registering the first X-ray image onto the stitched image, thereby generating a combined image. The method comprises further receiving an input from a user defining a rotation angle, rotating the combined image by the rotation angle around a central point of the combined image, thereby generating a rotated combined image, determining an image section of the rotated combined image, wherein an orientation of the image section of the rotated combined image is the same as an orientation of the first X-ray image, and providing the determined image section of the rotated combined image.
