Abstract
An ophthalmic composition according to the present invention includes (A) 0.01 w/w% or more and 0.5 w/w% or less of a copolymer having a constitutional unit represented by the following formula (1a) to formula (1c), a molar ratio of each constitutional unit of a: b: c = 100: 10 to 400: 2 to 50, and a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 2,000,000, and (B) 0.001 w/w% or more and 0.02 w/w% or less of benzalkonium chloride, and/or (C) 0.001 w/w% or more and 0.05 w/w% or less of chlorhexidine gluconate. According to the present invention, an ophthalmic composition that exhibits sufficient preservative efficacy and protects corneal cells can be provided.
