Abstract
An injector system (130) and method for masking a plurality of openings (134) in a component are provided. The injector system includes at least one injector body (132) configured to be positioned within a respective opening. Each injector body includes a radiation transmitting channel (150) and a radiation-curable material passage (160) defined in the injector body adjacent to the radiation transmitting channel. The radiation transmitting channel (150) includes a first terminal end (152) and a second opposing end (154) configured to optically communicate with a source of radiation (138), and the radiation-curable material passage (160) includes a first terminal end (162), and a second opposing end (164) configured to fluidly communicate with a source of radiation-curable material (136). A radiation block (170) is between the channel and the passage to prevent radiation from the channel from entering the passage. The injector system simultaneously injects and cures radiation-curable masking material.
