Abstract

Aspects of the present invention relate to a control system (200, 400) for controlling drive modes of a vehicle (100), and to a related drive mode system (102), drive mode selection system (104), method (300, 500) and vehicle (100). The control system (200, 400) may be configured to determine a control signal (204, 404) in dependence on a temperature signal (206, 406) indicating that a temperature associated with a first system of the vehicle is above a first threshold and below a second threshold; and output the control signal (204, 404) wherein the control signal (204, 404) is indicative of an instruction to the first system to implement a default mode of a plurality of first system modes.
