Abstract
The invention relates to a design of a plurality of shafts of a non-drive end of an azimuthing propulsion unit with a plurality of propellers. The design is at least partially based on a slit design of a least some of the shafts on the on the non-drive end of the azimuthing propulsion unit. The design enables the mounting of the shafts in combination with other parts such as bearing, slip rings or an electric motor of the azimuthing propulsion unit.
