Abstract

Stabilization assembly (1) for stabilizing a load (L) suspended from a crane hook (32) of a service crane (3) during vertical displacement of the load (L) between an upper position (P1) and a lower position (P0), comprising a tagline arrangement comprising a tagline (11, 11A, 11B) adapted for connection to the crane hook (32) and a tagline winch (10, 10A, 10B) arranged at a lateral offset from the lower position (P0); and a control arrangement (12) configured to determine a lateral force (F<w>) acting on the load (L) during vertical displacement of the load (L), to compute a tagline tension (F<11>, F<11A>, F<11B>) on the basis of the determined lateral force (F<w>), and to control a tagline winch (10, 10A, 10B) accordingly.
