Abstract

The present invention relates to a thermally debondable hotmelt composition comprising a) a polyester; b) a di-functional isocyanate; c) a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and n-butyl methacrylate; d) an amine having a structure I <img class="EMIRef" id="a4d02eda-80a6-423e-bb5b-13f42dcea256-ia01" /> wherein a is an integer from 1 to 5, n is an integer from 1 to 20 and b is an integer from 1 to 5; and e) an amine having a structure II <img class="EMIRef" id="a4d02eda-80a6-423e-bb5b-13f42dcea256-ia02" /> wherein m is an integer from 1 to 20 and/or a di- or tri- functional polyol. The thermally debondable hotmelt composition is suitable for use in bonded structures which may be in batteries of electronic vehicles and consumer electronics.
