Abstract

A method for producing a poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate) resin-containing molded article includes the step of obtaining a molded article by introducing an intermediate composition (I) containing a poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate) resin into an extruder equipped with a die at a discharge end, melting the intermediate composition (I) in the extruder, extruding the molten intermediate composition (I) through an outlet of the die, and cooling and solidifying the extruded intermediate composition (I). The intermediate composition (I) exhibits a melting point peak (i) with a peak temperature of 165 °C or higher in differential scanning calorimetry, and a crystalline melting enthalpy calculated for the melting point peak (i) is 0.5 J/g or more.
