Abstract
Provided is a composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) and a titanium compound (B),the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) containing at least two types, which are an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A1) and an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A2), having different ethylene structural unit contents,a difference between the ethylene structural unit contents between the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A1) and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A2) in the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) being 4 mol% or greater,the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A2) having a degree of saponification of from 90 to 99.7 mol%, anda content of the titanium compound (B) in terms of metal being 0.001 × 10<sup>-6</sup> parts by mass or greater and less than 5 × 10<sup>-6</sup> parts by mass with respect to 1 part by mass of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A2), as a composition having an increased thermal decomposition temperature during melt molding and excellent thermal stability.
