Abstract

A gas turbine engine includes a seal support (64) that has first and second spaced-apart support flanges (64a, 64b) and a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) seal (62) that is affixable to the seal support (62). The support flanges have at least one set of support flange pin holes (66, 68). The CMC seal includes a radially inwardly-facing side (62a) and a radially outwardly-facing side (62b). the radially outwardly-facing side has first and second spaced-apart seal flanges (72, 74) that include two independent sets of support flange pin holes (76, 78). The CMC seal is affixable to the seal support by alignment of either one of the two independent sets of support flange pin holes with the support flange pin holes and receipt of support pins (70) there through.
