Abstract

To provide a refrigerant compressor capable of suppressing a refrigerating machine oil from remaining at a slide portion while maintaining a low miscibility between an R290 refrigerant and the refrigerating machine oil. The scroll compressor includes a compression mechanism that compresses an R290 refrigerant, a drive shaft that transmits power to the compression mechanism, a slide bearing (200) that axially supports the drive bearing, a casing that houses the compression mechanism, the drive bearing, and the slide bearing, and a refrigerating machine oil stored in the casing. The refrigerating machine oil is PAG, POE, or PVE having an OH group at a terminal of a chemical structure. The slide bearing has a composite material CM including a resin-impregnated layer (220) in which a porous metal M is impregnated with a resin P including PTFE. A slide surface (222) of the slide bearing is formed of a resin-impregnated layer, and the metal is exposed at a predetermined metal exposure rate. A surface energy on a surface of the resin-impregnated layer of the composite material at the predetermined metal exposure rate is less than 40 mN/m.
