Abstract
A screw compressor includes a compression mechanism including a screw rotor and configured to compress a refrigerant, a motor configured to rotate the screw rotor and including a coil and a stator core, an inverter configured to supply electric power to the motor and to be cooled by a liquid refrigerant, and a casing including a suction chamber configured to receive the refrigerant from outside, a rotor chamber configured to accommodate the compression mechanism, and a motor chamber configured to accommodate the motor and located between the suction chamber and the rotor chamber, wherein the liquid refrigerant that has cooled the inverter is supplied to one or more coil ends of the coil or the stator core.
