Abstract

An apparatus (1) for drying organic and/or inorganic industrial and civil wastes, comprising an assembly having an inlet section (7) for the wet material to be dried, an extrusion unit (8) for extruding the wet material, a drying unit (9) for drying the extruded material and an outlet section (10) for the outflow of dried material. The drying unit (9) comprises heating means (26) for heating a convective drying fluid and a plurality of conveyor mats (27) for conveying the material to be dried. Furthermore, in proximity of the outflow section (10) there is provided a discharge area (40) for discharging the dried material provided with valve means (41) configured to discharge outside the dried material while avoiding the leakage of the convective fluid.
