Abstract

A device (100) for analysis of a test object (10) using photo-acoustic effect comprises: an optical arrangement (102) configured to output spatially separated light comprising a plurality of wavelengths, wherein light of different wavelengths of the plurality of wavelengths is separated into different spatial directions; and a spatial light modulator (130) configured to receive the spatially separated light, wherein the spatial light modulator (130) comprises a plurality of individually controllable regions (132), wherein each individually controllable region (132) is configured to receive a portion of the spatially separated light for associating each individually controllable region (132) with a specific wavelength of the plurality of wavelengths, wherein each individually controllable region (132) is configured to modulate the portion of the spatially separated light with a modulation frequency for generating modulated light for inducing a photo-acoustic effect in the test object.
