Abstract

The present invention refers to an apparatus (1, 1') for checking, by means of artificial intelligence, the integrity of radioprotective personal protective equipment (21, 21', 21"). The apparatus (1, 1') comprises: a checking chamber (2), personal protective equipment supporting means (3, 3'), X-ray emission means (4), X-ray detection means (5), a control unit (6) implementing artificial intelligence. The control unit (6) is configured to perform the following operations:∘ obtaining, by artificial intelligence, an index of suitability (IN) for the radioprotective personal protective equipment,∘ based on the obtained index of suitability (IN), assessing, preferably by means of artificial intelligence, whether the radioprotective personal protective equipment is defective or potentially defective.
