Abstract
A first aerial vehicle is disclosed. The first aerial vehicle comprises an antenna unit with a first and a second antenna submodule. The first submodule includes at least three antennas in a planar configuration, each capable of sending and/or receiving Ultra-Wideband (UWB) signals. The second submodule includes at least three antennas in another planar configuration that is not parallel to the first planar configuration. The first aerial vehicle is configured to send a first UWB signal to a second aerial vehicle and establish a connection link upon receiving a second UWB signal from the second aerial vehicle. It performs ranging to estimate the location of the second aerial vehicle, using the first and second UWB signals. The first aerial vehicle further dynamically controls its flight path for navigation and collision avoidance, based on the estimated location information, including relative position.
