Abstract

The disclosure relates to a microscopy system, a method of moving a microscope slide in a microscopy system, and to a transport unit. The microscopy system (1) comprising an image data capturing unit (6) configured to capture image data of the sample on the microscope slide (60) at the analysis position (AP), and a transport unit (2) configured to move the microscope slide (60) between a receiving position (RP) and the analysis position (AP), wherein the transport unit (2) comprises; a first and a second opposing gripper member (10, 20) having a respective gripping portion (11, 21) being reciprocally movable relative to each other along a first direction (A) to selectively grip the microscope slide (60), and a manoeuvring unit (30) configured to reciprocally move along a second direction (B) between a first, a second, and a third position (P1, P2, P3) such that the transport unit (2) assumes a gripping mode (GM), an open mode (OM), and an ejection mode (EM), respectively.
