Abstract

A production line planning device for planning a production line for a product includes: a storage unit configure to store product operation information in which a product and an operation necessary for producing the product are associated and stored, operation facility correspondence information in which the operation and a facility necessary for performing the operation are associated and stored, component classification information in which a main component and an auxiliary component that make up the facility are associated and stored, and facility common ID information in which the main component of the facility and a reference facility are associated and stored; a process planning variable calculation unit configured to, when the operation included in the product operation information matches the operation included in the operation facility correspondence information, add the operation, the facility, and a decision variable to process planning variable information in a case where the facility included in the matched operation facility correspondence information is not included in the reference facility in the facility common ID information; a process planning variable cost calculation unit configured to obtain, based on the component classification information, a cost of the operation and the facility corresponding to the added decision variable; and an output device configured to output the number of the decision variables added by the process planning variable calculation unit and an investment cost obtained by adding up costs of the respective decision variables obtained by the process planning variable cost calculation unit.
