Abstract
Provided are an electronic percussion instrument and a mounting method of a sensor that are capable of accurately detecting a strike on an edge part of a striking surface. An edge frame (17) to which an edge sensor (18) is mounted is connected to the lower surface of a bow portion (12b). Therefore, in the case where the edge part (struck portion (17a)) of the bow portion (12b) is struck, a striking surface frame (12) and the edge frame (17) can be integrally swung with respect to a rod (4). As a result, the relative height between the outer edge of the bow portion (12b) and the struck portion (17a) is less likely to change during performance, making it possible to accurately detect vibration caused by a strike on the edge part of the bow portion (12b) with the edge sensor (18).
