Abstract

A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, a case accommodating the electrode assembly therein, the case having an opened surface, a cap plate sealing the opened surface of the case, a sensor connection portion located on the cap plate, the sensor connection portion configured to be connected to an external gas pressure measurement sensor, and a first vent portion located inside the sensor connection portion.
