Abstract

A secondary battery (10) includes: an electrode assembly (210); a case body (110) accommodating the electrode assembly (210); a cap plate (120) sealing an opening of the case body (110); and a positive electrode terminal (130_1) and a negative electrode terminal (130_2), each of the positive electrode terminal (130_1) and the negative electrode terminal (130_2) being electrically connected to the electrode assembly (210), coupled to the cap plate (120), and protruding in a first direction (D1) from an upper surface of the cap plate (120). The cap plate (120) includes a vent portion (122) located between the positive electrode terminal (130_1) and the negative electrode terminal (130_2). A first length of the case body (110) in the first direction (D1) is longer than a second length of the case body (110) in a second direction (D2) perpendicular to the first direction (D1), and the second length is longer than a third length of the case body (110) in a third direction (D1) perpendicular to each of the first direction (D1) and the second direction (D2).
