Abstract
A gas generation apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a detection case having a shape corresponding to a battery case of a secondary battery, the detection case having an opening to accommodate an electrolyte inside; and a detection cap having a passage hole through which an electrolyte gas generated from the electrolyte passes, the detection cap configured to cover the opening, wherein the passage hole has a diameter configured to allow the electrolyte gas generated by natural evaporation of the electrolyte to escape at a target concentration.
