Abstract

A secondary battery (20) and a battery pack including the same are provided. The secondary battery (20) includes a case (100), an electrode assembly (200) accommodated in the case (100), a cap plate (300) facing the electrode assembly (200), a pair of terminals (310) on the cap plate (300), the terminals (310) having different polarities, a current collector (400) connected to the electrode assembly (200) and extending through a first terminal (310) of the terminals (310), and a welded portion (500) between the current collector (400) and the first terminal (310).
