Abstract

An air conditioning system (1000) includes an inverter (1006) and a power factor correction circuit (1050) in signal communication with the inverter (1006). The inverter (1006) converts a DC voltage delivered from a DC voltage supply (1002) into an AC voltage. The power factor correction circuit (1050) delivers an AC line voltage across an AC voltage line (1052) based on the AC voltage and outputs an AC line voltage signal (1059) that is indicative of the AC line voltage. An inverter controller (1008) receives a feedback signal (1007) of the AC voltage from the inverter (1006) and receives the AC line voltage signal (1059) from the PFC circuit (1050). The inverter controller (1008) selectively operates in a first mode to control the inverter (1006) based on the AC line voltage signal (1059) and a second mode to control the inverter (1006) based on the feedback signal (1007) of the inverter output.
