Abstract

There is an issue with the low accuracy of the calculated losses, as well as the subsequent accuracy of the calculated temperature and degradation degree. It includes a junction-fin temperature calculator capable of calculating the junction-fin temperature and a fin temperature sensor capable of detecting the fin temperature. It calculates the junction temperature from the sum of the junction-fin temperature and the fin temperature. From the calculated junction temperature, it retrieves the loss characteristics based on that junction temperature and calculates a more accurate loss. From the calculated loss and the transient thermal characteristics table, it estimates the temperature and subsequently calculates the degradation degree.
