Abstract

A solar cell according to an embodiment includes a first transparent electrode, a p-type light absorbing layer provided on the first transparent electrode, a first n-type layer provided on the p-type light absorbing layer, a second n-type layer provided on the first n-type layer, a second transparent electrode provided on the second n-type layer, and an antireflection layer provided on the second transparent electrode. The refractive index of the second n-type layer is higher than the refractive index of the first n-type layer. The second n-type layer comprises a titanium-including metal oxide.
