Abstract

This display device comprises: a display panel comprising an optical substrate having a TFT array layer mounted thereon; a cover panel covering the periphery of the rear surface of the optical substrate; a support panel located below the rear surface of the optical substrate and having mounted thereon a printed circuit board for providing driving signals to the display panel; and a back cover covering the support panel and located below the rear surface of the optical substrate, wherein the cover panel comprises, at one end of the front surface thereof, a step formed to protrude toward the rear surface of the optical substrate. In the display device, the optical substrate having mounted thereon the TFT array layer constituting the rear surface of the display panel is exposed to thereby achieve heat dissipation and diversification of the exterior design.
