Abstract

Measurement station (1) for assessing the cardiorespiratory fitness state of a user (2) by means of a predefined test to be performed, comprising:- one display (3) and optionally a loudspeaker (4);- a camera (5) for capturing images of the user;- a controller (10) configured to process signals indicative of the heart rate of the user (2) received from a heart rate sensor (20) used by the user.The controller presents during various phases of the test, through the display and/or said loudspeaker instructions which guide the user to assume a certain position, to calculate a first heart rate value, and to perform a predetermined number of repetitions of a predetermined exercise.Moreover, in a final phase of the test, the controller calculates a second value and a third value of the heart rate of the user based on signals received by the sensor respectively during an initial time interval and a final time interval of such phase, and a parameter indicative of the cardiorespiratory fitness state of the user at least based on such first, second and third heart rate values.
