Abstract

A surgical system (10) includes a user interface (14) and an operating table (16) with at least one robotic arm (18) supported on a pedestal (20) that can selectively tilt, based on instructions from the user interface (14), the operating table (16) about a longitudinal axis L(a) and a transverse axis T(a). A camera (21) is configured to capture image data (22) within a field-of-view ("FOV") of a patient operating region (24) and a display module (26) is configured to display the image data (22). A control system (100) is configured to receive a current tilt of the operating table (16) about the longitudinal axis L(a) and the transverse axis T(a), and graphically generate a gravity vector (28) corresponding to the current tilt over the image data (22) displayed on the display module (26).
