Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to three aspects, a pharmaceutical composition for use in treating hemorrhoidal disease and/ or the associated symptoms of hemorrhoidal disease, a method of producing said composition and a capsule comprising said composition. The pharmaceutical composition contains seven different herbal extracts of plant material of cichorium intybus, vitis vinifera, berberis aristate, hamamelis virginiana, azadirachta indica, aesculus hippocastanum and mesua ferrea that surprisingly alleviates symptoms of hemorrhoids and/or hemorrhoidal disease, even in cases where symptoms persist despite prior treatment with conventional local or oral medicinal therapies.
