Abstract

The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for determining an effective dose emitted by radioembolization particles, the method comprising: - obtaining a medical image including at least one target area of a patient, the target area including a plurality of image-detectable radioembolization particles; - determining, by means of an image analysis of the medical image, at least one particle distribution information, the particle distribution information indicating a distribution of the radioembolization particles in the target area; - determining an effective dose emitted by the radioembolization particles, by applying a non-proportional distribution-to-dose mapping to the determined at least one particle distribution information.
