Abstract

The disclosure relates to a continuous process for the production of dry polyolefin pellets comprising (a) pelletizing polyolefin melt material in an underwater pelletizing system in the presence of pellet cutting water to produce polyolefin pellets and (b) drying the polyolefin pellets. The process further comprising circulating the pellet cutting water in a pellet cutting water system comprising pellet cutting water temperature control means, pellet cutting water circulating means, and pellet cutting water storage means. The pellet cutting water contains one or more flow aid agents, one or more antifoam agents, and one or more antisticking agents.
