Abstract
A cycloidal marine propulsion system with a rotating wheel for receiving a plurality of blades, a rotor element configured to receive a torque for rotating the rotating wheel, and an adapter ring is provided. The rotor element comprises a rotor of an electric motor or a gear ring. The adapter ring is separably connected to the rotor element and separably connected the rotating wheel.
