Abstract

A label attaching apparatus is a label attaching apparatus that suctions a conveyed label, moves the label toward an adherend, and attaches the label to the adherend, the label attaching apparatus including: a suctioning unit configured to suction the label; a negative pressure detection unit configured to detect a negative pressure value corresponding to a suction force generated in the suctioning unit when the label is sequentially suctioned to the suctioning unit, or a light detection unit configured to detect an amount of reflected light from the label in the suctioning unit; a determination unit configured to determine a state of the label attaching apparatus based on a detected value in the negative pressure detection unit or the light detection unit and at least one threshold value; and a threshold value setting unit configured to change the at least one threshold value based on an operation input of an operator.
