Abstract

The present invention relates to a carbonator (10) for mounting in a drawer (2), the carbonator (10) comprising a base (12) for being attached in the drawer (2), a housing (14) for accommodating a CO<2> cartridge along a longitudinal axis (15) of the housing (14), and an articulated joint (16) moveably attaching the housing (14) to the base (12), whereby the housing (14) is moveable relative to the base (12) between a rest position in which the longitudinal axis (15) has a first orientation and a use position in which the longitudinal axis (15) has a second orientation, perpendicular to the first orientation.
