Abstract
Provided are a window material that can enhance radio wave transmittance only for radio waves in a specific frequency band while having a function of reflecting or shielding waves and has high manufacturability, and a method for producing the window material. A window material 1 includes at least one transparent plate 2, a metal layer 3 that is stacked on the at least one transparent plate 2, and at least one metasurface film 4. The metasurface film 4 includes a base material 42 that is attached to the transparent plate 2 or the metal layer 3 and metal patterns 41 that are formed on the base material 42.
