Abstract

A power control system 1 is provided, which includes: a surrounding camera 510 for detecting an object in a periphery of a power cable 200 which supplies electric power to an electric shovel 100 operated by the electric power and an object detection computation-unit 520 which limits the electric power to be supplied to the electric shovel 100, when a distance between the object detected by the surrounding camera 510 and the power cable 200 falls within a range determined in advance. As a result, a power control system and a power control method which can suppress contact of the object with the power cable and allow the working machine to be operated more safely can be provided.
