Abstract
An (air-cooled) refrigerant system (102) is disclosed. The refrigerant system (102) includes a first enclosure (106) comprising a refrigerant circuit (104) configured to circulate a process fluid. At least a portion of the refrigerant circuit (104) is configured to flow the process fluid through a heat exchanger (108), the heat exchanger (108) being configured to dissipate heat from the process fluid passing through the heat exchanger (108). The refrigerant system (102) includes a second enclosure (114), where the second enclosure (114) comprises one or more electrical components configured to power and/or control the refrigerant circuit (104). The second enclosure (114) is fluidically sealed off from the first enclosure (106). Separating and fluidically sealing the first enclosure (106) and the second enclosure (114) prevents the process fluid from being exposed to the electrical components, thereby reducing risk of ignition of the process fluid.
