Abstract

Methods and devices for removing the effects of vibration in an imaging-based profiler are disclosed herein. An example method includes capturing, by an imaging-based profiler, a set of image data representing a profile of at least one of an object and a background region and determining whether a dimensional value of a portion of the profile deviates from a reference value, the reference value being determined using one or more sets of image data captured by the imaging-based profiler. Responsive to determining the dimensional value of the portion of the profile deviates from the reference value, the example method further includes adjusting the set of image data representing the profile based on a magnitude of the deviation from the reference value, outputting the adjusted set of image data, and constructing a three-dimensional (3D) model based on the adjusted set of image data.
