Abstract

An apparatus for distributed acoustic sensing, comprising at least one processor, and at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to: perform a plurality of distributed acoustic sensing, DAS, measurements by applying a plurality of optical interrogation signals to an optical waveguide and receiving a respective plurality of backscattered response signals from the optical waveguide in response to the plurality of interrogation signals, the response signals having delay-resolved spectra comprising delay-resolved spectral features of the optical waveguide, wherein at least some of the delay-resolved spectral features are shifted in frequency, wherein at least two of the response signals comprise a same part of the delay-resolved spectral features, and determine, based on the plurality of response signals, an aggregated response of the optical waveguide.
