Abstract

A system for inspection of an insulation system of a cable, wherein the cable comprises an electric conductor and an insulation system surrounding the electric conductor, the system comprises a cable stripping device configured to radially slice the cable insulation system to produce a helically formed strip of insulation, and an optical inspection device configured to receive the helically formed strip of insulation and inspect it to detect any anomalies present in the helically formed strip of insulation.
