Abstract
The invention provides a method for correcting a thermal displacement of a tool center point (TCP) with respect to a table of a machine tool by means of the machine tool axes whereas the positional deviations are determined using a regression model. The regression model is determined in the frame of preliminary thermo-elastic characterization experiments. The input variables used by the predefined regression model include: the measured axis position, a temperature of one or more machine parts, a measured ambient temperature, and the derivative of at least one of the ambient temperature and the temperature of a machine part.
