Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a memory, a user interface, a network interface, and a controller. The image forming apparatus is connectable to the Internet via the network interface. The controller is configured to: perform communication via the network interface in accordance with a setting value stored in the memory; in response to receiving, via the user interface, an instruction to change the setting value stored in the memory, change the setting value in accordance with the instruction; perform communication via the network interface in accordance with the changed setting value stored in the memory; and control the user interface to display a warning regarding security degradation based on the received instruction.
