Abstract

This application discloses a wallpaper display method and an electronic device, and relates to the field of terminal technologies. A wallpaper such as a lock screen wallpaper or a home screen wallpaper is generated through layout arrangement of a picture and a mask frame with a geometrical shape, to implement a visual effect that a part of a main object in the picture extends beyond an edge of the geometrical shape of the mask frame, that is, implement an "out-of-frame" display effect, so that visual three-dimensional space is created in two-dimensional space, thereby providing a three-dimensional and unique wallpaper.
