Abstract

Disclosed is a computer-implemented method comprising the steps of obtaining first data representing a surface of a dental object, wherein the first data is three-dimensional (3D) surface data; obtaining first augmentation data indicating an estimated presence of a second set of dental conditions in the second data; obtaining second data representing an internal volume of the dental object; obtaining second augmentation data indicating an estimated presence of a second set of dental conditions in the second data; obtaining a user input indicative of a desired inspection site of the dental object; determining a part of the first data corresponding to the desired inspection site; determining a part of the second data corresponding to the desired inspection site; rendering, in a graphical-user interface (GUI), a first view comprising the part of the first data corresponding to the desired inspection site and rendering with a visual indication of at least a part of the first augmentation data corresponding to the desired inspection site; and rendering, in the GUI, a second view comprising the part of the second data corresponding to the desired inspection site with a visual indication of at least a part of the second augmentation data corresponding to the desired inspection site.
