Abstract

The present application relates to a battery cell (20), a preparation method therefor, a battery (100), and a power consuming apparatus. The preparation method for a battery cell (20) includes: determining that the battery cell (20) is in an uncharged state; spraying an insulating material on at least some regions on an outer surface of a housing (22) of the battery cell (20) in a manner of electrostatic spraying; performing curing processing on a region of the housing (22) on which the insulating material is sprayed, to obtain a battery cell (20) including an insulation layer (24); and injecting an electrolyte solution into the battery cell (20) including the insulation layer (24). According to the preparation method for a battery cell (20) in the present application, insulation spraying is performed when the battery cell (20) is in the uncharged state, so that the insulation spraying can be performed through electrostatic spraying, thereby improving paint utilization on the insulation layer (24) in the battery (100) production process, and reducing production costs.
