Abstract

The disclosure provides a method for creating a model for predicting frequency responses in a power grid and/or for inertia estimation in the power grid, the method comprising: acquiring a plurality of node data, wherein each of the plurality of node data represents a frequency time series at a corresponding node of a plurality of nodes of the power grid in an ambient state; grouping the plurality of nodes into clusters, wherein each of the clusters comprises at least one of the plurality of nodes; creating a node data average for each of the clusters based on the node data of the nodes comprised by the corresponding cluster; and creating the model based on the node data averages.
