Abstract

The work machine such as the electric excavator 100 of the present invention includes a vehicle body with a working device, an AC/DC converter 111 installed on the vehicle body to receive power from the grid power supply 400, and a high voltage battery 112 attached to the vehicle body, and operates by power received from the grid power supply 400 and the high voltage battery 112 through the AC/DC converter 111. Furthermore, the work machine includes a first data transmission/reception 125 that receives information output by an external device, the server 500, and a vehicle controller 120 that sets the power received from the grid power supply 400 based on the information received by the first data transmission/reception 125. This provides a work machine, electric power control method, and electric power control system that can more appropriately distribute the power obtained from the grid power supply to the work machine, achieving both a reduction in the load on the grid power supply and improved work efficiency at the work site.
