Abstract
Systems, methods, and instrumentalities for an energy savings credit based on display dimming. An example video decoding device may determine that a user of a display has caused the display to dim. The device may calculate an amount of energy saved by dimming the display. The device may determine an energy savings credit based on the amount of energy saved by dimming the display. The device may store the energy savings credit in an account associated with the user.
